On October 23, Zilverzurf’s new album Chill Out Guitars, volume 1 will be released via Pygmalion Musik. Zilverzurfarn’s eleventh solo album is filled with beautiful instrumental music in which the guitars take center stage, moving between the hypnotic, the rhythmic, and the melodic. Light, playful rhythms meet guitar solos, creating something that embraces both calm and movement. The album features, among others, Kenny Håkansson, Robert Cochrane, and Lennart Söderlund, taking the listener on a journey through different moods and musical landscapes to immerse themselves in.

Johan “Zilverzurf” Zachrisson has been active as a musician and producer since 1977 and has continued to explore and develop his musical expression throughout his career. In addition to being a member of legendary Swedish pop/rock/reggae/ska group Dag Vag, he has moved freely between genres and forms of expression across his many solo albums, with Soil in particular becoming something of an ambient classic. Zilverzurfarn has also collaborated with artists such as Lee “Scratch” Perry and created music for a wide range of films, documentaries, television productions, and exhibitions.

Chill Out Guitars, volume 1 is yet another chapter in a musical journey that has never truly stood still, one characterized by music that invites the listener to slow down, immerse themselves, and simply follow where it leads.
